okay... i dont think its overheating, because it usually goes nuts when that happens. first it wont let me turn it on. then once i do it loads this screen telling me that it over heated. but i guess that could be because of something else overheating. i took out one of my fans because it was rattling. there are still two more though. ill just wait and see if it happens again then see how hot it is.

okay, it did it again, but the processor fan is running. i guess ill leave it in front of a fan with the side off and see if it still does it.
I have a dim view of these newfangled cases and their poor airflow designs. I had a friend who endured one of these systems; after a month or so, the CPU fan accumulated enough dust that is slowed down just enough to let the CPU overheat, causing thermal shutdowns (a series of unique beeps, followed by an immediate hardware shutdown). The solution was to use compressed air to clean the CPU fan completely, but that only fixed it for a month or so. Repeat. Christ, that sucked!
Keep the case away from dust sources. Whatever number of fans you have, keep it that way, at least. Consider adding another fan, as these cases often have empty grills for mounting them. Finally, consider investing in a better CPU fan, and/or a larger heat sink.
