Floppy Hazard

Name: Anonymous 2007-07-30 18:00 ID:ivU8/oq5

My Floppy Drive just came back to life and I was thinking of checking out some floppies I've got around for some vintage porn and memories. The thing is, I remember using Windows 98 and every floppy more than like a month old was like an instant virus hazard even though I didn't even have internet.

Is it safe to try 'em out now in XP? I've got NOD32. Shouldn't be any problem, right?

Use common sense. Non-executable files are non-executable, and thus always safe.

There's no autoexecution or autoplay function in Windows associated with the floppy drive ... unless you have a virus active in the first place which looks for such things, but that would mean you're fucked anyway.
