Best DVD copying tool

Was just curious what would be a good program for copying DVD's. I want to back up some of my collection but most of them are copywrited and won't copy using Nero or CloneDVD.  Any suggestions?  Or do I have to rip/burn?

P.S.  When writing a new DVD from a video file should it take me 1.5 hours with a 16X drive to write it the first time?  The subsequent times are all like 5-10 minutes.

I assume you are talking about use with movies.

For copying I normally use dvdfab, it's a pretty self explanatory software; it does it's job.  If you want something a little more complicated with more agressive encryption decoding, you might want to go with ripit4me.  Most brand new releases that did very well in the box office will have better encryption and for those i normally go with ripit4me. 

you can also use whatever regular software you would normally use to rip a dvd, along with a little program called dvd43.  It will handle any encryption on your movies, allowing your programs (nero, etc) to copy them without knowing they aren't supposed to.
