Higurashi Daybreak- Vista Chapter

Name: Anonymous 2007-07-10 19:22 ID:zZYkI9vM

Okay, Vista is seriously pissing me off.

On my Windows Vista (1.6 Ghz/ 2 gig ram) Inspiron laptop, the game Higurashi Daybreak runs fine until a battle starts up, in which it freezes the image even before the number 3 is shown. You can still hear the battle going on though, and it stays that way after the match is over.

I tried installing it on my older desktop (XP, 1.2 Ghz, 512 mb ram) It loads everything slowly, but the game runs fine once it gets going, the cinematics take about 5 minutes to load up though, so at least I know it's not my version of the game.

Any reason why it's not running propery on my laptop (I'm fairly sure Vista is probably part of the problem and changing the compatibility mode isn't helping the situation).

Anything I can do to stop the game from freezing before I can even do anything? I liked what I played from the game, but I want to enjoy this time waster on my laptop. I've tried asking about this on a number of sites (and /v/), but no help yet...

GTFO.  Don't come bitching and whining like a little nigger bitch here when you just answered your own fucking question.  Banning isn't enough for you.  Your IP needs to be converted to an animated .GIF with the words "I AM A PEDOPHILE" and made into this board's background image.

tl;dr: AIDS/STFU/RTFM/GTFO/KTHXBYE

Is your laptop 1.6 dual core? If not then you don't really have the processing power to run it. It may meet the requirements but you need something a little more powerful.  If it only messes up during the game, your laptop's integrated graphics probably aren't good enough.  As for your desktop, 512mb of ram isn't really enough for vista. 1.2 ghz is pretty slow, too. I would recommend not using vista in any case.
