Playstion 2 - DNAS 603 error...wtf?

So I'm trying to get my PS2 to go online.  Slimline model, browser version 4.  I get up to the point where my PS2 connects to the internet...when it gives me the 603 error.  I'm using a Westell Wireless 2200 Enternet/DSL connection.

Contact Sony, they say I need to have my ISP open several firewall TCP and UDP ports.  Contact my ISP...Verizon.

My God they are idiots.

After 25 minutes I finally convince the "service rep" that my problem is accessing the internet with my PS2 and NOT my computer.  Takes 10 minutes more for him to get a supervisor (most of that time I think he's just jacking off at his desk).  After 5 more minutes of getting no-where with the supervisor ("We do not have firewalls enabled on our customers connections, you must have enabled a firewall that by default should be disabled in my modem" and "we do not cover service for Playstation 2's, but if you like I can connect you to our premium service techs (re: you pay us to speak with them, fucktard) and they can try to help you").

So.  Anyone else have a problem with a DNAS 603 error they were able to overcome?  Or will I have to ditch Verizon (good riddance) for Earthlink or something?

to port forward

go to network connections
right click on local area connection and go to status, then click the support tab.

depending on what it says, is what you're going to have to put into your explorer window to access the router.

my IP is 192.168.1.xxx
so when i go into my router i type in 192.168.1.1

hope this helps somewhat in your search to port forward..

also try google.
