came home today and found a bsod which said something had stopped and that it had stopped everything to protect itself.
i restarted like it said to, and now my keyboard and mouse dont work.
power gets to them because the light on the mouse is on, but the keyboard is cycling the scroll lock, caps lock, and num lock.
wtf?
any ideas on whats gone wrong and how to fix it?

im going to guess the reason your bios alerted you was because of loose hardware so the thing that would ahve been lose would be the usb ports or whatever ports you useing to plug your mouse into your computer so to fix this problem either just use different ports for your mouse and keyboard (most computers have at least 4 usb ports i have like 8 myself) or just check the connections inside your computer dont do it yourself if you dont know what your doing just get a friend that knows about this stuff or get a profesional to do it kk?
Just remember it was Darus that helped you Darus REMEMBER MY NAME BIATCH!

May we have your system specs (cpu, mainboard, ...) and the version of your operating system?
Can you enter the BIOS setup? (Most of the time, you have to press <del> during POST, but <ins> is also popular, as are some more or less stupid other keys (the POST screen should, however, happily point out the correct key to press). If yes, have you tried loading default or even fail-save settings?
Also, have you tried using a linux live-cd to test if just your OS is crippled?
