HELP

I just recently fucked up my cousins laptop.
My friend had a WindowsVista Anytime Upgrade CD.

I took the CD, and installed VistaUltimate to my cousins laptop. Only, it was a 30 day trial version, my 30 days are up. Now it won't work until I get a serial code, I tried my friends, but it does not work. The laptops previos OS was Windows Media Edition, is there anyway to fix this without buying a new Vista Ultimate ? Or can I downgrade and get the previos OS? Please help , I do not want to pay 300$

You have to either use a cd key or reinstall a new os.  Without the key Windows will lock you out, so if you need the files on the computer, use a bootable *nix cd.
