Hard drive upgrade

Ok I have a 30g hard drive that i want to upgrade to 160g without losing anything. I torrented Symantec Norton Ghost v12 (which is what a friend recommended)  and I was inquiring how to quickly transfer a complete image from one hard drive to the other without a massive headache. Yes I know how to use google, but all it turns up is commercial "Download now!!" crap.

- get a linux live cd
- open a terminal
- man dd
- you're on your own from there
