Kerry finds deleted browser history??

Name: Anonymous 2007-06-05 19:23 ID:c1ut55Ri

I'm on Kubuntu Feisty 7.04.
Some days ago I acidentally visited a site with "dubious" content (with konqueror). No problem, I deleted my history at that time.
A few hours ago I did a search with Kerry (That's a KDE frontend for the Beagle desktop search daemon) for that site.

Now I'm like WTF because it found the site but doesn't show me where...
I'd be glad if anyone could tell me how to safely delete that stuff, I really need that history off my HDD.

Don't worry, unless you're activley distributing/collecting/making the stuff, the FBI has no reason to go after you. It's not like you can get arrested if some stanger tosses illegal goods into your car while you drive past, and how is this different? If you think they really will go after you anyway or if you need to get all your stuff screened because you want to work for them or something, just get a new disk, copy the files you want to keep onto it, and insert old disk into a wood chipper. I suppose you could put the remains in a jar of magnets and shake it if shredding magnetic discs that need to be spun several thousand times per second and can't just be taped together like paper isn't enough for you.

Also, I'd take out the magnets form the hard drives before shredding, but only because I'm a total nerd and can think of things I'd want to do with them.
