The Difference?

Just wondering (god these are old) which one of these would be better, i have no knowledge in the AMD section so i thought i might ask here.

I just got my hands on one of these AMD Athlon 1000MHz(so the cpu says) and i got a old pentium celeron 1300MHZ. These are both from around 2000 i think? maybe 2001. Anyway just wondering which one is better as I'm just making some spare computers for random tests on software and programs.

The difference is 300 and a capital Z.

Seriously though I'd imagine that the Pentium is better from my recollection of that era, Pentium tended to pull ahead for me personally.
