How do I clean keyboard

Got a nasty keyboard. What do you suggest I do to clean it. Dishwasher? Soak in water?

I always remove screws and seperate keys/front from the circuitry. Take all keys out, throw them in water and soak in hot soapy water. Take to the circuit boards and soak them in hot water, scrub them with toothpaste and rinse in aftershave. Take to the front part of the kb with hot water/toiletpaper and a scrubbing brush, clean+dry them and replace all keys. screw back together. Just did mine a few days ago. comes up looking like new
