HD dying?

Name: Anonymous 2007-05-22 18:19 ID:X2NnpN7j

I'm getting a screen every time I turn on the pc saying the status of my hard drive is BAD. Is there anyway to fix it? or is my hard drive already doomed?

it's doomed. get a new one asap and transfer.

I guess the question would be, are you using a pc or a mac?
if it's a pc it's probably S.M.A.R.T drive that's reporting the condition of the drive, and while there migth be some kind of truth behind that, there is still a high probability that you will be able to use the drive..
You can always checkout what is really bothering smartdrive by running a diagnose program that supports smartdrive.

Try this:

Enter bios (hold f6 or whatever key the startup screen says) when the system loads and disable "Auto-SATA recognition" and see if you can still boot.

OK
STFU AND ** COPY YOUR STUFF NOW **
THEN worry about finding out why it's saying it.
