Can't connect to internet

My router is functioning properly and I am now connected wirelessly using my laptop, but my desktop doesn't receive any connection.  I've tried plugging the ethernet cable directly into the box, but that doesn't work.  It worked fine about an hour ago, but stopped working when I started trying to start a home network using the Windows XP network creation wizard.

I've also tried the Software repair wizard and I can't use any previous restore points.

its probably your router, reset it or disconnect it and leave it for an hour, then reconnect it
