In the past, my monitor would just randomly fuzz up for about a second or two, appearing as if it were shocked or something, then quickly return to normal. Recently, however, these occurences have begun to appear far more frequently to the point that at times, it will 'shock' multple times in the vacuum of 15 seconds. What's the problem? Also, though not TOO old (about a few years old or so), it isn't a plasma screen monitor.

Don't happen to have any magnets close to it, would you? (Speakers, etc..)

I have speakers, but they aren't very close to the monitor at all (7-8 inches, maybe more). Another thing: I'm not completely sure what else a magnet has the potential of doing, but there isn't any problem with coloration...
