DNS resolve with command shell (cmd)?

In mIRC, you can resolve an IP/Domain/Host by typing /dns <IP/Domain/Host>. Like if you for example want to check out what IP a 4chan has, or what host that IP you get from the domain, is connected to.

Can you do the same thing in command shell (cmd) in Windows? If I use the ping command in cmd I only get the domain's IP, not host address.

"C:\Documents and Settings\Johannes>host /?
host är inte ett internt kommando, externt kommando,
program eller kommandofil."

(it says "host" is not a command)

...is this some kind of command in Linux? I said "Windows". But "nslookup" worked fine.
