LCD monitor phase keeps resetting

I have an LCD monitor attached via VGA port (don't have DVI out on my graphics card). Everytime the monitor turns off, the monitor phase keeps getting reset to the factory default, and I have to manually change it back to the correct setting.

For those that do, do you know why this is happening? Is there a way to keep the phase setting after turning off the monitor?
