Is there any way to activate Windows XP after a reinstall due to a system upgrade? I am using a version I activated before on the same computer. Or will I be forced to pirate a version without activation?

There are cracks out there that disable activation. Google.

I have activated my OEM copy of Windows Xp with Mircosoft after major upgrades with no problem's. Just say your old motherboard died or something, and for the record my license has been used on 3 motherboards. (1 Athlon XP and 2 AMD64 boards.)
