Even after multiple wipes there may still be data that is recoverable. But unless 3 letter government agencies are involved, someone truly hellbent on getting your data, or is paying allot of money for recovery your safe using DBAN.
But personally I find the sledgehammer method to be much more fun. But data is also recoverable with the sledgehammer method, just it costs allot of money and it requires very specialized methods. Basically unless 3 letter government agencies are involved or someone is paying allot of money, data recovery is imposable.

Not even, then. Someone from a data recovery agency wrote a paper on this, and said, even if they did use electron microscopes, it would take a lab several years to analyze the data, and even then not all of the data would be recoverable, only bits and pieces.
