Windows File Protection

Well I think I've fucked things up.
I made a fresh install of Windows with SP2 the other day.

Of course, Windows File Protection pestered me about nearly everything I installed. So, I went and installed WFPAdmin to temporarily disable it. Then I uninstalled WFPAdmin as I was going to do the hex edit on sfc_os.dll after I'd finished.
Anyway, next restart I immediately get WFP pop ups. I closed one after the other, until I came to one realization: The fucking popups weren't stopping. Each time I cancelled, it would straight away come up again.

So I went into the registry, tried disabling it there. Nothing.
Tried the hex edit found on a few sites after searching google. Nothing.
Tried the hex edit in Safe Mode. Nothing.
Tried un registering the .dll... Rgsvr32 was an unknown command.
Tried using Taskkill in cmd. That too was an unknown command.

I finally caved in and put the (burnt) copy of Windows with preinstalled SP2 in my CD drive and tried to let it do its thing. Nothing. Wrong CD.

So, I insert an official SP2 CD into my computer and pleaded it to work. Nope, nothing. That too was the wrong CD. I just don't know what the right CD is anymore. Maybe I'll put a sandwich in my CD drive. That might work.

So, I've given up. I don't know what the hell to do, so I've come to you guys in hopes that one of you may know what to do. And please don't tell me to reinstall Windows or change OS. I have been at this for 4 days straight reinstalling Windows and all my applications + settings. Reinstalling is the LAST thing I want to do, but it must be possible to end this bullshit.
