FORMAT C: whores

Today at my job a random idiot employee who works at the juridical department came to my room screaming with an imperative acent:

MY COMPUTER IS A SHIT ITS SLOW NEEDS FORMAT NOW

I answered I should first see what was the problem before deciding if it was necessary to format or not. I went to his room, browsed a bit on his computer and ended up discovering a lot of dialers, IE hijacks and all sorts of spyware faggotry. Resolved the issue with a quick walk in the Windows registry and an anti-spyware software scan.

These FORMAT morons irritate me. This shit is so popular that even fucking lawyers now thinks that format will solve their bad habits at visiting porn fishing sites, open wand enlargement and  viagra-for-cheap emails.

FORMAT WILL NOT CURE YOUR NOOBISM IN COMPUTERS MORONS.

We're using Symantec Corporate 9, which claims to protect against spyware but in fact it allows alot of bullshit in, but honestly it's a good software. The case I reported above is rare inside the company, but reflects the thoughts of many users.

This company I work is governamental, and everything we want to buy must get an approval from a random clueless white collar. Was a NIGHTMARE to get 2 new servers we needed to speed up the main application.

We don't have remote imaging software, nor the diskspace required to run one, but was proposed a few times already.

And PS: I'm not in the US or any other 'developed' country. Maybe convince chiefs to buy soft and hardware is harder here? Or there are other people out there with these kinds of problems?
