Comp won't shut down

Name: Anonymous 2007-03-01 22:46 ID:2MzW8W8M

Start menu->shut down, programs and everything stop running, desktop disappears, the little 'saving your settings, windows is shutting down' box shows up, that disappears, then nothing.  It just hangs there.  I can ctrl-alt-del, and it still won't shut down.

Firefox always shuts down when requested.  Furthermore, it can restore it's previous state, even if it crashes!

lol.

Fucking keylogger.  It shuts down now, albeit very slowly.  My usual routine of Spy Catcher-AdAware-Spybot doesn't show anything else.

If there was a keylogger on your machine, there are a couple simple steps you'll have to take to protect yourself.

1:  Change ALL your passwords.  You don't know when the keylogger started collecting.  But only do so after you...

2:  Completely wipe and reinstall your OS.  Your current software platform is no longer trusted, and you could easily be rooted.  The only way to be sure your machine is legit again is a wipe with an OS reinstall.
