Copying files in DOS

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-25 15:30 ID:nRQdTy9U

I have Windoes 2000.  I'm trying to copy files from one drive to another, but many of them won't allow me access.  So, I want to boot in DOS and copy files that way.  How do I evem boot to DOS in the first place?  And what are the commands I need?

You can't boot to dos mode... come out of the cave already. Even if u get a decent dos boot disc it'll be useless, because dos can't read NTFS... You'll need NTFS DOS for that....

how about just going into command line?

Start--Run--cmd [enter]

You can't run Opera in Dos. Please keep Windows if you can, or switch to another OS.

i had this problem before.  i downloaded and booted the knoppix linux livecd.  it can read ntfs partitions, but not write them.  so if you have an external drive or fat32 partition you can copy them using it.

if the files are encrypted your fucked though.

If it's your computer, you can give yourself access by logging in as administrator user.
