proxy connect

how do people find working anon proxies? and is there a program that will make all my programs connect through that proxy since firefox is the only one that gives me proxy options...

are you using windowz or linux?  if you're using windows, the proxy settings in internet explorer effect *most* programs:

well right now im using one just with firefox.... this site(http://checker.samair.ru/) says that my IP address is different from what my router says(it should, right?) and it says that IF im using a proxy, its highly anonymous.... how well can i trust this?

You can switch proxies on or off using the F12 menu in Opera!

Are you just wanting to surf the web anonymously?  If so, I'd just use Tor.  It's been well-tested:
