Firefox messing around

... suddenly firefox decides to screw me over and freeze. damn it. next time i open it up ALL of my bookmarks are messed and juggled without me having deleted or moved anything.

is there anyway to restore firefox and restore all of the lost bookmarks? also, anyone know wtf happened?
