MAC Address Sniffing

Long story short, I have been denied access to the wireless network which has no WEP or WAP encryption. Access is via MAC Address list. There is at least one person in the house who has access to the wireless. I need to find his MAC address so that I can spoof it and use internet again.

I have already tried ethereal except it cannot seem to sniff packets unless it is connected to the network in the first place.

Help!
