My PC doesn't assign a drive to my Philips HDD120 anymore for some reason. It used to work fine, then I plugged in my brother's USB HDD and it stopped giving a drive to it. The USB HDD still works fine. Later I reinstalled Windows (2k3) and it worked fine again. This time I plugged in my sister's cellphone and the same thing happened. So, does anyone know a permanent fix to this? I don't plan to reinstall Windows everytime this happens.

1. Plug it in
2. Wait 30 seconds
3. Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Disk Management
4. See if it shows up there. If it doesn't, something is wrong with the drive, usb cable, or usb interface.
That eliminates any problems with the drive. Now, STOP USING DRIVE LETTERS. CP/M IS DEAD. MOUNT THE SHIT TO A DIRECTORY. Make a directory, like C:\mount, make shortcuts to it, and then make folders for each type of drive you want to use. Then junction the drives to the folders via Disk Management. And then STFU.
