I'm looking for a way to get a 4:3 aspect ratio on my widscreen. Giving me a non-streched image and two black bars on the sides. Anyone know of a way to make this happen?

Assuming you really need to be able to run at 4:3 while using a fixed-resolution widescreen display for some specific reason, you either need to (A) change the behavior of the scaler in your signal chain if you want to stop the stretching or (B) bypass the scaler altogether. Unfortunately most computer widescreens are inflexible designs that do not support the user doing (A) with the built-in scaler in the display (including external LCDs and laptop screens). And (B) is not always possible either, depending on what you are trying to do.
Why do you want to use this non-native screen aspect ratio? Depending on your needs, (B) might be an option.

I'm trying to Fraps my gameplay, but at my current resolution the queality gets worse then on GoogleVid. And there's no lower widescreen resolutions avaliable. Hence the 4:3.

On a CRT when you want to use a resolution that doesn't match the aspect ratio of the screen you would just go into the monitor's menu and use the horizontal and vertical 'stretch' functions until the resolution looks good. That's how i use a 1600x1024 on my 4:3 monitor without it looking stretched out. But i don't know if you can do that on LCDs.
