cygwin

so I installed cygwin on my pc at work cause I need to run bash scripts and shit that a fired colleague left for me to deal with. Is there anything cool I can do with cygwin besides going crazy on grep, cut, tail and shit? I've been playing typespeed for two hours today, but I mean, like, really cool?

Also it seems I cant mount any folders that are beneath my home directory, I mean wtf? Cygwin moans that the device is busy or something, but its not fucking busy, it isnt doing shit. Is there a way to change the home dir itself?

You can shit with Cygwin? That's skill!

you can get X and Wine, run them under Cygwin under Windows, and then emulate yourself running your own Windows programs.  FUN!

No progress yet on the mounting problem. It seems I cant mount anything to mount points beneath my home dir ('device is busy'). Dont fail me, Anonymous, or I might have to use Google...

That does sound like fun! Might try it once I'm off medication.

Might I recommend you use a livedisk of some distro if you only have limited activities.. cygwin is an enigma, and no one can answer your question based on how many possible versions of all the different cygwin packages you may/may not have.
