How do I setted windows XP password system?

is there any way I can make XP require a root password to modify or install files onto the drive? ie linux root password requirement.

People have wanted Unix-like permissions for windows for a while. I think you can get something like that with Windows 2000/2003 server, there is also an app you can get from www.opera.com that will allow you to password protect any file.
