This morning I got on my PC to check my email and everything was fine and dandy until I got home about an hour ago to see that my internet was going sloooow and programs which should open instantaneously were going sloooow as well. The only application I was running was uTorrent, which was running perfectly fine (speed-wise, too) so I tried shutting off my pc, unplugging my modem + router, then turned it on again 5 minutes later. Everything was still slow as fuck. I figured that I'd let my torrents finish downloading then run a defrag, as I hadn't done one in a long while, but I got impatient when I realized that I could NOT surf the web while downloading torrents, and I couldn't even open files on my computer due to how SLOW everything was going (eg: it'd take about a minute for CCleaner to open).
Fed up with all this shit, I rebooted my PC yet again. The last two times I tried to reach google it refused to even load. When I tried to click "repair" in the control panel's Network Connections section it said it couldn't do it since I had no tcp/ip connection set up for this location. But after my second reboot, something I cannot describe as anything but a miracle occurred, and EVERYTHING was working perfectly fine again. My internet connection was working again, I could open "My Computer" without having to wait 5 minutes, resizing windows didn't freeze the programs, etc.
tl;dr, My computer was fucked up. I rebooted. Still fucked up. I rebooted. It worked. What the fuck, /comp/?
