Fucking IE7

I use Firefox. However I still need IE for certain pages.

Forced to DL IE7 update and now it wont run. Opens the browser and gets stuck on  " Detecting Proxy Settings " All other internet traffic and apps are normal.

How the fuck do I make it go?
