Ping Online Checker

I need a tool, where you can define an IP or a Hostname and a port number, and that Program then pings defined port at the defined host lets say every 5 Minutes. If Ping is successfull, that tool should tell me either by popping up an alert window or a flashing icon or task button.

Do you know such tool?

i don't think that there's any tool that does exactly what you want. there's nmap if you're interested though.
