Re-installing mutil-boot?

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-02 14:20

I got a system with Vista and XP(with XP on C) on it. XP has crapped out on me and I want to do a re-install, but I don't want to go through the long proccess of re-installing Vista cause it's just too much of a bitch for me.

I'm just woundering if by simply re-installing XP, if it will trash the Vista multi-boot, making me need to re-install vista?

I dunno, but if the vista cd has any sort of "recovery console" like XP did it probably has an option to rewrite the mbr

with that said, why the hell would you multi-boot XP and vista?

You could use Knoppix and write a multi-boot MBR with lilo.
