IM clients and protocols

I'm looking for an IM client that can handle several protocols.

So far I've read a bit about Trillian, Gaim and Miranda, and I'm not sure which is better. I'm currently using MSN Live Messenger.

My contacts are mainly from MSN, with a bit from Yahoo! Messenger and ICQ.

Any recommendations?

hi all i need some help in setting up my network so i hope you can help. at the moment i connect to my home server via a patch/crossover cable, but now i need a wifi connection as well. i was thinking a setup somthing like this would work, but am i right. net connection comes into house, then to modem,conect router to modem with one output connected to my desktop via cable then my wifi antena connected to another output port from router for my business laptop.
