Media Players for Linux

Name: pinky !v0/vw2I2oE 2006-11-23 23:28

Looking for a good media player for linux.  Just switched over to fedora core 5, and I can't even play an mp3 at the moment, any advice would be appreciated.

i use xmms for playing audio, and mplayer for playing video.  mplayer was kind of a pain to install (at least it was in ubuntu) and is kind of a pain to use, so you can probably just use vlc.

i use amarok for playing audio, and xine for playing video.  xine was very simple to install (at least it was in kubuntu) and is a lot of joy to use, so you probably have no use for vlc.
