sorry this is stretching /comp/ a bit far, (alright really far) but I've been googling and haven't found what I need, and no one I know knows, so here I am. I'm selling my WoW account (yea yea) and the guy who's buying it wants to pay over telephone and wants my bank account #. I just want to know if this is a normal and safe procedure or not. I would call my bank, but they're closed right now, so in b4 fag, sage, noob, gb2/anywhere/, etc.

It is totally safe and normal. There is no risk whatsoever. In fact, some there was a Nigerian nobleman that emailed me a little while ago. He needed a bank account to temporarily deposit over US$300 million so I gave him my bank account number. He said that he would even give me 10% for helping him out! I'm so excited about this!

What's he gonna do with your acct #? If he can rape it with just that, find a better bank.

About the only thing you can do with an account number / bank routing number is to deposit money with it.

If you still don't feel safe, don't go through with it 'till you ask the people at your bank about it first.
