iPod buttons broke

My iPod's buttons broke, but other than that, it's in tip-top shape.  I want to listen to music on it again, but I'm stuck at the 'Select Language' screen.  Is there any way I can access the iPod without use of buttons?  Like...a program or something?  I only want to leave the iPod playing on shuffle, and have no need to use buttons after that.  I'm not really willing to shell out money for a dock if I'm only going to use it once!

iPod is past warranty.
