Dual display not working

Name: Anonymous 2006-11-11 23:48

I recently intalled a X1900 GT in my pc. It came with this odd 9 pin s-video out thing. I've tried  using the diffrent plugs and cables, but I can't get the damned thing to recognize my tv, is this a bug?

I still can't get it set up, I can use my tv as main screen, or my monitor, just not both. I've never had a problem like this before, it refuses to detect one if the other is in use.

VIVO.  Look it up in the Wikipedia.

Actually, the wikipedia article is skimpy at best.  I'll explain:

VIVO (Video In Video Out) is basically a two way port.  You need a special cable for it.  Mine looks like this:

SVIDEO IN---------VIVO
SVIDEO OUT----|
COMPOSITE IN--|
COMPOSITE OUT-|

One end plugs to the VIVO port, and there are four connectors for input and output.  To, for example, mirror/extend your desktop to the TV (say, for watching anime or gaming), you'd connect the VIVO's SVIDEO OUT and the TV's SVIDEO IN with an SVIDEO cable.  To watch TV on your PC, you'd connect the TV's out with the VIVO's in.

A cable should have came with your video card.  Mine is just a 6" quad splitter thing.
