can i swap the AXIs on a controller?

Hey, i recently got DMC3 for the pc and found the controls were absolutely terrible for the keyboard.

So i bought myself a USB controller that looks exactly the same as the PS2 controller. The only problem is, to control Dante it's messed up.

I have to turn on reverse stick mode to actually be able to control Dante at all.
But i find it impossible to play using the right analog stick. Is there some drivers or programme i can use so i can switch the axi's around?
