Hard drives dissapearing

Okay, I've got two hard drives, both partitioned into another 2 drives each, C,D and E,F. A few days ago, F drive could not be read, possibly corrupted, it was reformatted and now works fine. Except now, E has mysteriously dissapeared as well.

So any clues why this happened and is it possible to recover the data?
