FireFox2 Image Resizer

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-30 23:58

So I just recently upgraded to FF2, all is good and everything except the annoying image resizing. Is it me or did they completely removed the disable option for it in the UI? I even went and did the about:config and it's set on false...wtf? Anyone know a fix on disabling this?

type about:config in the address bar. set browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing to false (use the filter to find the entry)

I find that I have to disable so much shit using about:config in FF2 just to make it as usable as 1.x.

I'm just going to customize a default user.js so it'll work normally every time I install FF or create a new profile.  I already do this with K-Meleon to shut off some of that browser's stupid features.

Just install FF3 then.

Latest stable version is always available here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/

FF3 extension compatibility is shit (or you have to edit the extension slightly to make it work, but your point was minimize work)

Get "Nightly Tester Tools", and you'll never have to worry about "compatibility" again.

- Allows you to force the application to believe an extension is compatible with the current version and enable it.

Also useful for deprecated versions.
