AGP texture acceleration

I'm having a problem enabling AGP texture acceleration in dxdiag(It shows the button greyed out). I've tried installing old drivers and installing custom drivers but neither have worked. This problem came to be after I mistakenly installed drivers that weren't meant for my graphics card. although oddly enough they worked and actually improved the preformance of my games, but in the process must have disabled AGP texter accerelation. So, does anyone have tips that could help me enable it?

If it improved performance why are you complaining?

because i dont have agp accerlation enabled and i need it to play certain games.
