Windows install problem

I put in the windows Disc, setup starts it loads up all the files then says "setup is starting windows" and I get hit with this error screen...

I'm trying to install it on a 6gig hardrive that used to have win 98 on it but I formated it with partion magic, though I was geting the exact same screen when I was trying to install on my old HD that had my old copy of windows on it.

Does anyone have any Idea why this is happening?

STOP errors are usually hardware related.  More than that, this BSOD won't really tell you much.  Way to go, Microsoft, nice error messages.

Twenty Seconds With Google (TM) gave me no less than two DOZEN different causes for a 7B STOP.  Many are boot device related.  Are your jumpers and BIOS set correctly?  Shouldn't make too much of a difference, but still.

Umm they haven't changed since the last time I installed Windows...
