Your computer will be a paper thin monitor connected to the internet [or rather, 'the Google'] that runs off an odd combination of Mac OS X and Google OS. You have no hard drive, but Google gives you a terabyte of space on their servers in the massive data centers they have built near the Columbia river.

Microsoft is nothing but a suite of ad-supported office applications online [there is no such thing as 'offline']. Your computer is connected to the internet via Google's ISP service, one of the only net-neutral ISPs available. Your iPod is always connected to the internet because of the nation-wide wireless networks that were put up years ago. Music is only offered as a side feature, with more focus put on it being a portable RSS feed reader [to keep up with your feeds on the go] and its social capabilities. MySpace has died off in light of newer [better] technologies, the iPod being its final blow, along with numerous lawsuits due to the mass amount of copyrighted videos on vids.myspace.com. YouTube and Google were able to escape a similar fate due to a new technology they developed that detects copyrighted material in videos then presents it to the owners and lets them choose whether or not it can stay.

Cable Television is non-existent, as it was overwhelmingly replaced by the popularity of video podcasts and new IPTV startups like Revision3. No one bothers to read the newspaper anymore, they would rather get many different opinions from experienced bloggers than a one-sided report from a journalist.
