my friend gave me his ipod to a few day so i could take some songs off of it. how do i do it? when i click manually manage and try to drag and drop it doesnt work. what do i do?

I'm guessing you're a Windows user, since you were stupid enough to not mention what setup you have. There should be plenty of products for getting music off an iPod for Windows, and maybe some of them aren't snake-oil. I seem to remember the name Anapod Explorer, try that.

If you're on windows, connect your ipod, then go to f:\, choose 'show hidden files', and navigate your way to the music folder. After that, you'll find multiple folders starting with 'F#'. Your music is in those folders. The files are spread out and renamed though, so good luck.
