DVI to CRT

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-14 16:29

My nVidia GeForce 6600 has both VGA and DVI output. I have a 19" CRT, currently plugged into VGA, and a 17" CRT laying around with no purpose in life. LCD is too expensive where I live.

If I want a dual-monitor setup, can I hook either CRT to the 6600's DVI output? Neither monitor has DVI plugs, but I assume a VGA-DVI cable or adapter does exist and would suffice. Is that so, or would I need some kind of converter (like a VGA-box used to hook consoles to monitors)?

You don't have to use the GIMP. Look into buying an older version of Photoshop instead of using a dual-monitor setup (it's legal and pretty cheap).
