booting from the windows cd

hey guys,
i did a system restore booting from the windows CD. it went nicely until the process stoped completely! i waited for more than 2 hours and nothing happened. it keeps at "installing devices" with just 33% to go. i dont care about losing that windows, but i care about the "My Documents" folder, that is protected and i cant access outside my account. help me pleaseeeeee!

strip your system to bare minimum, take out all hardware except what is needed to run your system.

also, clean the cd
