laptop gaming

I have a new gateway laptop with an ATI mobility radeon x600, 1 gig of RAM and a 2.7 Ghz processor. I am attempting to ANY GAME that uses OpenGL. Examples I have tried include Gish and Nexuiz. The problem is that occationally controls will "stick". For example, if I were to go left for a peroid of time, then release the "go left" key, I would continue to go left for several seconds. This makes playing any game very hard and annoying.

I have reinstalled the graphics card, formatted the system, updated directx, nothing is working. That is why I am here. Someone, please help.

The accessibility options may be the culprit. Look in control panel, disable everything. You may also need to go into the "Settings" for each one and mess with them.

Or your keyboard is busted, the rubber domes not popping back up. If you hit the key again does it stop?
