I have just install Ubuntu on my old laptop, the only use of the laptop was just browse the internet and some games. But I got on the internet using a Wi-fi USB Adapter and Ubuntu doesn't seem to know what to do with it. So is their a way or an program that solves this problem?

I keep hearing this shit every fucking year:

THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR OF THE LINUX DESKTOP!

Uh huh. I hear that EVERY year. Has it ever been true? No.

Look, your OS is only as good as the apps you can run on it, and how well they run. Frankly, quite a few FOSS apps fucking suck. Surely there are some great ones, but these are the exception, not the rule. You know why GIMP is free? Because it sucks goat-nuts in every way imaginable. Know why Photoshop is $600? Because it's a fucking amazing piece of software, and easy to use.

Call me back when Ubuntu will recognize my wireless adapter and doesn't require mucking around in xorg.conf just to get a decent rez.
