IDE Expansion card problems

Hi i recently purchased a MRi IDE Expansion/RAID card to up my hard drive capacity, however some issues have arose, First on installing my card it somehow kills my EMU 0404 Soundcard meaning i have to re-install the drivers updates etc. secondly when i connect a harddrive as master on the primary channel it has a conflict with the regular secondary slave (a DVD drive) and hangs on startup. Any thoughts?
